Freshman

Complete the application for undergraduate admission. Applications are accepted throughout the year; however, students are strongly encouraged to apply for admission in the fall of their senior year or as early as possible. All students must be admitted to Cleveland State before receiving financial aid and scholarships and applying for campus housing. You may complete an application using one of the following methods:

A nonrefundable $40 application fee* is required by check or money order (made payable to 91¹ú²ú¾«Æ·). Students submitting an application online may pay with Visa or MasterCard. High school students who have limited financial resources and meet the NACAC requirements may use a  when applying for college.

Obtain your official transcripts. All paper transcripts must be submitted in an official sealed envelope. You are required to submit official high school transcripts from every school that you’ve attended. Download the high school transcript request form as a PDF here. Seniors should also include the 12th-grade schedule of classes and seventh-semester grades (if available). 

Students with post-secondary coursework must include college transcripts from every institution attended. Download the college transcript request form as a PDF here

If you completed the GED you should submit an official score transcript from the state in which the diploma was earned. If the GED was earned in Ohio, visit the  to download the appropriate form and follow the submission instructions. If the GED was earned in a state other than Ohio, visit   to download the appropriate form and follow the submission instructions.

91¹ú²ú¾«Æ· is waiving the ACT/SAT test score requirement for admission for Fall 2025. Students are welcomed but not required to submit official ACT/SAT results for their admission application. Scores appearing on your official high school transcript are acceptable. You can also request to have your test scores sent to Cleveland State directly from the testing agencies. Our codes are:

College Credit Plus

Students admitted into 91¹ú²ú¾«Æ· are eligible to earn college and high school credit at the same time. These students can engage with the 91¹ú²ú¾«Æ· community, interact with full-time college students and university faculty, and benefit from the rigor and variety of college courses offered. College-bound students can jumpstart their college careers and reduce the cost and length of time needed to earn a bachelor's degree.

Post-Baccalaureate
