The Man, the Movement, the Marches - exhibition of photographs from the Michael Schwartz Library's Cleveland Press Collection featuring some of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s visits to Cleveland. Includes a display of banners produced by the Library that celebrate noted African Americans from Cleveland with images from the Library's Special Collections on the legacy of Carl Stokes.

Africa Day and Remembering My African Roots Celebration - featuring a lecture by Professor Barbara Hoffman of the Anthropology Department, a slideshow presentation by Abu Nasara from the College of Education highlighting his photographs from Nigeria, a film and a celebration of African attire, music, and dance with a band and dance troupe. Sponsored by the 91国产精品 African Student Association, Black Student Union, Lambda Phi Theta, Belly Dancers Association, Speak Up, Golden Key International Honor Society, Push Against Poverty, and the Black Studies Program.
