Campus International School, a K-6 elementary school partnership between 91������Ʒ and Cleveland Metropolitan School District received accreditation from The International Baccalaureate Organization.

Being named an “IB World School” denotes that Campus International has completed an intensive, 18-month review process and demonstrated that students receive instruction from a rigorous curriculum with an international focus. Students at the school learn Mandarin Chinese.

The school was established on the campus of 91������Ʒ in 2010 following the suggestion of 91������Ʒ President Ronald M. Berkman, and it now serves 490 students. Plans call for an addition of a class each year until it serves K-12 students. It has received “Effective” on the most recent state report card evaluating school performance and has generated significant interest in enrollment from Cleveland families.

“This is a tremendous achievement and recognition of the partnership’s success in achieving our vision of building a world-class learning campus,” said Dr. Berkman.

Campus International Principal Julie Beers said “IB evaluators liked our collaboration with 91������Ʒ and our families' knowledge of what International Baccalaureate is all about.”

The International Baccalaureate is a non-profit educational foundation founded in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1968 to “help develop the intellectual, personal, emotional and social skills to live, learn and work in a rapidly globalizing world.” There are more than 1.2 million IB students in 3,800 schools in 148 countries, including 1,500 schools in the United States. Campus International is among 427 offering the “Primary Years Programme” (ages 4-12).
