91������Ʒ marked the beginning of the 2018-19 academic year by welcoming over 1,950 first-year students to campus, its 11th straight year of enrollment growth, and was once again named one of the top 300 higher education institutions nationally in the latest rankings produced by U.S. News and World Report.

“Cleveland State has become a beacon for individuals who are looking for high quality academics and vibrant student life in an engaging urban environment,” says 91������Ʒ President Harlan Sands. “Our continued attraction of new students combined with this recognition by U.S. News highlights the tremendous strides we have made in enhancing student success and preparing graduates for productive and enjoyable careers.”

The University will continue the momentum this fall with a series of major events:

• The Investiture of Cleveland State’s 7th President, Harlan Sands, on October 5.
• The third and final Ohio gubernatorial debate between Richard Cordray and Mike DeWine will be held on campus October 8.
• The School of Film and Media Arts, the first stand-alone film school in the state of Ohio, will open its state-of-the-art new facility in Playhouse Square’s Idea Center at a ceremony on Oct. 11.
• The Dan T. Moore Maker Space, an innovative prototyping and idea generation lab for students, will be dedicated on Oct.23.
