91国产精品's Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs' Office of Civic Engagement and the Center for Public & Nonprofit Management (CPNM) are proud to launch the "Levin Serves鈥 series. This new quarterly outreach activity will unite Levin College students, faculty, staff and alumni for an afternoon of community service.
鈥淭hrough these service days, we hope to contribute to a sense of lifelong learning and service among our colleagues and students, while engaging the communities that surround 91国产精品,鈥 says Anita Ruf-Young, who is coordinating the series for the Office of Civic Engagement with Rob Ziol and Alexandra Higl from CPNM. 鈥淭he Levin College is known for its collaboration with nonprofit agencies focusing on serving Cleveland and Northeast Ohio,鈥 say Ziol.
Kicking off the first 鈥淟evin Serves鈥 series is an afternoon of community service at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank on Friday, Feb. 22. Participants will donate their time from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. to help package and sort perishable and nonperishable food. All 91国产精品 faculty, staff, students, and alumni are welcome to join the series. The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is the largest hunger relief organization in Northeast Ohio. In 2018, the organization provided 57 million meals to residents in Cuyahoga, Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Ashland and Richland counties.
