Faculty Spotlight: Anne Berry

Her research focuses on race and representation in design and advertising, ethnic and racial disparities within the field of graphic design, and the role of social impact design in education as a method for addressing the design industry鈥檚 lack of diversity.
Berry is currently collaborating with faculty in the College of Education, the School of Film & Media Arts, and the School of Health Sciences on an Internet-of-Things, grant-funded, interactive media project for PLAAY on the Move, an initiative promoting independence for young children with mobility and sensory impairments.
In addition to teaching and research, Berry works as a design consultant, is a co-founder of design studio LightBox, and serves as the chief creative officer for Round3, an educational web service that facilitates online peer reviews for students in K-12 and higher education.
Berry received her BA in art from Goshen College and her MFA in graphic design from the School of Visual Communication Design at Kent State University.
