FTC Acting Chair to Deliver Keynote at 91国产精品 Cybersecurity Conference

Maureen Ohlhausen, acting chair of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will deliver the opening keynote address at the 2017 Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection Conference presented by 91国产精品鈥檚 Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, April 27-28.

Ohlhausen was sworn in as an FTC Commissioner in 2012, and was designated as acting chair by President Donald Trump in January. Ohlhausen previously served as a staff member with the FTC for 11 years, including as director of the Office of Policy Planning and as an attorney advisor for former FTC Commissioner Orson Swindle.

Ohlhausen will deliver her address at 8:15 a.m. Thursday, April 27, in the College of Law鈥檚 Moot Court Room, 1801 Euclid Avenue.

Now in its second year, the Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection Conference brings together lawyers, policy makers, government officials, IT professionals and business leaders to take a multidisciplinary approach in addressing growing cybersecurity and privacy risks. It will also feature keynotes by Travis LeBlanc, former chief of the Bureau of Enforcement for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and Adam Hamm, former chair of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners Cybersecurity Task Force.

Notable panel discussions led by industry experts throughout the two-day event include Cybersecurity and Privacy Policy in the Trump Administration, and Cybersecurity and the Public-Private Partnership.

The event is part of OHTec鈥檚 Tech Week and is presented in partnership with the Northeast Ohio CyberConsortium. The conference is spearheaded by 91国产精品鈥檚 Center for Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection one of the only cyber security centers in the nation housed in a law school.
