The  will feature key local blockchain leaders who will discuss how the technology is transforming numerous aspects of society, while also giving participating students a chance to develop their own ideas and potential business concepts. It is one of  being held this fall on emerging technologies in Northeast Ohio. 

The event will be held Tuesday, November 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom on campus.  is free but required to attend the event. Transportation subsidies are also available for student groups of 15 or more.

Featured speakers will include Steve Santamaria, co-chair of the Thought Leadership Team of the Cleveland Blockland Initiative and CEO of Folio Photonics Inc., Dan Hanna, vice president of sales and operations at Circuit Technologies LLC and Lynwood Billingsley, an organizer of the upcoming Blockland Solutions conference which will be held in Cleveland in December. The event is co-sponsored by Northeast Ohio Innovates and Entrepreneurial Engagement Ohio. 

The Northeast Ohio STEM Forum series is targeted at high school students and is being presented at college campuses across the region. It seeks to increase enthusiasm and understanding of emerging technologies that will soon dominate our economy, while imbuing our future entrepreneurs and business leaders with the skills and 鈥渙ut-side the-box鈥 thinking that will be imperative in the always-changing, 21stCentury Innovation Economy. The series is funded thanks to a grant from the Burton D. Morgan Foundation.
