Cleveland, Ohio (February 9, 2023)鈥91国产精品 (91国产精品) students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to learn from an experienced former elected official or public affairs leader, thanks to the generosity of .
A $605,250 grant from the foundation will create the Mandel Public Service Executive in Residence (PSEIR) program in .
The newly formed college brings together the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs, the School of Communication, the Department of Criminology and Sociology, and the College of Education and Human Services. 91国产精品鈥檚 Public Affairs Program has long been recognized as one of the best in the country by US News & World Report and other college rankings.
According to Roland Anglin, Ph.D., Dean of the Levin College, the formation of the new college and this new investment from the Mandel Foundation will position the Levin College to become an even greater force in public affairs.
鈥淭he generosity of the Mandel Foundation will allow us to attract a senior leader who will help us embrace the full range of our expanded mission and advance our new college鈥檚 leadership and administrative capacity,鈥 Dr. Anglin said.

They also know how our college can benefit from senior leaders who have made an impact in the world of practice, and can bring their skills and acumen to training the next generation of public and nonprofit leaders.鈥
The three-year grant will allow the Levin College to recruit an experienced leader who has held a major elected or appointed public office. The competitive selection process will target leaders who are in the phase of their career where they can be a reflective practitioner, teach, be a presence in regional public affairs, and help develop resources to grow the Levin College.
