WHAT TO DO:

For Urgent Health Concerns

EXAMPLES:

  • Minor allergic reaction with swelling/itching
  • Asthma not responding to usual medication
  • Fever >101 F or lasting 2 + days
  • Injury with pain/swelling
  • Scrapes or burns with blisters over small area of body
  • Severe sore throat
  • Significant/increasing pain, especially with fever
  • Urinary Infections/Symptoms (discharge/pain) w/ STD

WHAT TO DO:

Weekdays during office hours, call 216-687-3649 to schedule an appointment or talk to a provider.
Nights and weekends:  If you have the Student Health Insurance, call the tele-doc line for an online medical consult.  If you have other insurance, call their nurse help line. 


In A Medical Emergency Or For Major Urgent Health Concerns

EXAMPLES:

  • Alcohol and other types of poisoning
  • Any condition that feels life threatening
  • Head Injuries with loss of consciousness
  • Massive bleeding or trauma
  • Major injuries such as bone protruding through skin, broken bones
  • Severe difficulty breathing
  • Severe burns over a large area of your body
  • Unconsciousness – unable to rouse

WHAT TO DO:

Call 911 or go to the nearest hospital emergency room
