Who is eligible to use a Viking Rental van or request an Enterprise discount code?

All renters must comply with the 91¹ú²ú¾«Æ· Driving and Motor Vehicle Guidelines. PTS rental vehicles are available exclusively to 91¹ú²ú¾«Æ· students, employees, and authorized affiliates for official University use. Personal rental requests are not permitted. Individuals under 21 or without a valid driver’s license are not permitted to operate a PTS rental vehicle.  

Become an Approved Driver

To become an authorized driver with PTS, a 91¹ú²ú¾«Æ· student, employee, or authorized affiliate must complete the following steps:  

1. Complete the Motor Vehicle Release webform or submit a completed PDF Form to transportation@csuohio.edu. Submit these documents at least two weeks before the requested reservation. Please note: in some cases, including MVR requests with an out-of-state license, it may be necessary for 91¹ú²ú¾«Æ·'s Department of Human Resources to run an in-depth screening. There is a $23 fee for the background check, which is typically charged to the department or student organization’s account. Once submitted, these screenings may take 3-5 days for approval.                                                                                                                                         
2. Submit a completed copy of the Van Safety Guidelines Form provided by PTS (required only for van rentals). Drivers renting smaller vehicles from an outside agency do not need to complete this step.                                                                                                                           
3. Complete the online Driver Safety Program provided by PTS (needed only if renting vans). For access to the training, please  (you may need to sign in to Vector first). If you do not have Vector access or have trouble accessing the training, please email a request to transportation@csuohio.edu. 

Driver approval remains valid for one calendar year (faculty/staff) or one semester (students).

The Department of Parking and Transportation Services reserves the right to deny authorization to use a PTS rental vehicle based on restrictions outlined in the 91¹ú²ú¾«Æ· Driving and Motor Vehicle Guidelines.
