Note: 91¹ú²ú¾«Æ· telephones are not all set up the same. Dialing features may be limited on some telephones, per department preferences. Contact the Telecommunications Office at 216-687-3881 if you have any questions.
Campus Dialing
Interoffice (any 91¹ú²ú¾«Æ· number) - dial the four-digit number
To transfer a call to another extension:
"Transfer" button
Dial extension number and wait for the party to answer
Announce the caller
Hang up, the transfer is complete
Evening Calls
Most University telephones are capable of receiving and placing interoffice and outside calls 24 hours a day.
When 216-687-2000 is not answered (between the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. weekdays and all weekend), you will hear a pre-recorded message, you also have the option of dialing by name after hours. The message provides the University's open switchboard hours, refers callers to specific campus information centers, and when appropriate, advises whether classes will be held (due to emergency conditions and/or holiday situations).
