The below table represents the standard crosswalk between GenEd08 and the new Core Curriculum. It is recommended to use this crosswalk in the following ways:

• To identify Inquiry Core courses that a student may use to satisfy outstanding GenEd08 requirements
• To determine whether it would benefit a student to update their catalog rights to the new Inquiry Core

The equivalencies indicated below will be automatic for students but there may also be instances where a GenEd08 course could satisfy multiple Inquiry Core requirements or vice versa. As a general rule, our aim should be to maximize the benefit for students and so petitions may occasionally need to be submitted for a modified equivalency.

 ¹Only courses approved directly as "Data & Digital Literacy" courses are equivalent to GenEd08 "Social Science" requirements. Students may, instead, fulfill the "Data & Digital Literacy" requirement by completing a second course approved under "Quantitative & Formal Reasoning".
